Mr. Gerald Peguese is the owner of EL Pipe and has over 25 years experience in working as a tier 1 supplier to; Fiat Chrysler, General Motors, Ford and Toyota supplying industrial piping for assembly lines, paint lines and plant maintenance.  He has supplier vendor codes (which are not being issued at this time) with all the automotive companies. 

He has performed over $200 million dollars of work within the automotive industry.

 

Mr. Peguese also has relationships with other tier 1 suppliers to the automotive industry such as, Gallagher Kaiser,  Complete Automation, Encore Automation, Walbridge Aldinger, Barton Mallow, Ideal Contracting and Commercial Contracting.

 

Mr. Peguese and EL Pipe have been members of the MMSDC for over 25 years and has sat on many boards and development committees during his relationship.  the organization has allowed Mr. Peguese to grow within the community and strengthen his position in the automotive industry as well with the City of Detroit and put himself and his company in a favorable position for the growth of the city.  Also, his good standing as a minority supplier to the automotive industry is very beneficial in obtaining work.  The automotive industry continues to promote diversity and has minimum requirements for all it's suppliers to comply with. Fiat Chrysler has increased it's minority participation to 30% of industrial contracts.

Besides Mr. Peguese's relationship in the automotive industry, he also has a strong relationship with the Detroit Water Authority. Over the past years, EL Pipe performed over $100 million dollars of work with the water department and was the largest minority supplier to the water department.  These relationships are still in place.
